In MELE MURALS, the mythology and values of ancient Hawaiian culture meet the brash contemporary sensibility of the graffiti artist for a transformative experience in public art.  By mentoring a group of rural youth to create an outsized environmental mural, artists Estria and Prime rediscover a deep connection to their native roots.

Filmmaker Tad Nakamura in-Person for audience Q&A!

Also, a performance featuring live Hawaiian music and dance, with New York-based Molokai crooner Jason Poole and Halau I Ka Pono--The Hula School of Chicago, follows the screening.
